Description
This map shows the five routes used by Texas drovers across western Kansas to deliver longhorns to northern markets. Because of the constant re-aligning of a cattle quarantine against Texas cattle, the route kept moving west out in front of the Kansas settlements. This map shows that movement. Published by Gary and Margaret Kraisinger in 2004 to accompany the book, The Western: The Greatest Texas Cattle Trail 1874-1886
